Vulcan is a hypothetical intra-Mercurial planet predicted in the 19th century to explain Mercury's perihelion precession. Einstein's General Relativity (1915) eliminated the need for a physical Vulcan — but it persists in esoteric astrology (Alice Bailey) as the soul-ruler of Taurus and the symbol of the inner forge: hidden craftsmanship, iron-will, deep transformation through patient work.
