Raja Yoga
"Royalty Yoga"
power · authority · political rise · collective leadership
Formation
Raja Yoga forms with the union (conjunction, aspect, mutual exchange) of rulers of kendra houses (1, 4, 7, 10) with rulers of trikona houses (1, 5, 9). Example: if Ascendant is Leo, the 1st-house ruler is Sun; if Sun is in the 9th conjunct Mars (since Mars rules 9th in Sagittarius), classical Raja Yoga. Multiple combinations are possible. Classical texts additionally evaluate the rulers' dignity status, house strengths, and mixed-ruler (kendraadhipati) status.
What it produces in life
A person carrying Raja Yoga is pushed into authority and power positions throughout life. Rises in bureaucracy, politics, senior management, military, even religious leadership. Collective responsibility comes naturally — solitary office isn't enough, leading others becomes necessity. The Yoga's power peaks in middle-late life (after Saturn return, etc.). Difficulties encountered build the leadership; lost years don't return but they teach. Common in modern political leaders', CEOs', judges' charts. Raja Yoga alone is no guarantee of wealth — when combined with Dhana Yoga, wealth also comes.
⚠ Caution
The Yoga doesn't automatically mean leadership; without the person developing character, they only experience conflict. The Yoga is a "window of opportunity," not a "guarantee."
