Tantra Practices

Conscious connection, breath, and awareness exercises

Energy Scan

solo 10 min

Lie down and close your eyes. Start at the toes and slowly move upward. Three breaths in each region. Where is the tension? Where is the warmth? Where is the flow? Get to know your body.

Breath Sync

connection 10 min

Sit facing your partner. Meet eyes. Inhale together, exhale together. Five minutes. Then reverse — one inhales while the other exhales. Feel the flow of energy.

Heart Meditation

solo 15 min

Place a hand on your chest. Feel your heartbeat. With each beat say 'I love you' — to yourself. Not to anyone else, just to you. This love must be born in you before it can spill over to others.

5 Senses Awareness

mindfulness 20 min

Sit in a quiet room. See 5 things, touch 4, hear 3, smell 2, taste 1. Experience each sense fully. Don't rush. This moment — only this moment.

Silent Eye Contact

connection 5 min

Sit one meter from your partner. For five minutes, look silently into each other's eyes. No talking. No laughing. Just seeing. You'll feel the masks fall away.

Grounding Ritual

solo 10 min

Stand barefoot on the ground. Breathe deeply. Imagine roots reaching from your feet into the earth. With each breath, sink deeper. The earth is holding you. You are safe.

Sound and Vibration

mindfulness 15 min

Sit in a comfortable position. Sound 'OM' — deep, slow, long. Feel the vibration in your chest, throat, head. Repeat seven times. Focus on a different chakra each time.

Gratitude Flow

solo 5 min

Write three things: for the breath you took today, for an emotion you felt today, for someone who exists today. Writing is enough. Not thinking — feeling.

About this tool

Tantra Practice is the short, daily-applicable exercises version of /tools/tantra. The philosophy of tantra is wide; this page presents the "what can I do for 5-15 minutes today" layer. Breath exercises (pranayama), body awareness (body scan), sound work (mantra), gaze meditation (trataka). Classical tantric texts (Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, 7th c.) list 112 different meditation techniques. The selection here is short-form, 8-12 practices fitted to modern life. It doesn't bypass the "bonding with a teacher" process of becoming tantric — these are entry; for deep practice, work with classical sources and a teacher. Note: if new to yoga/meditation, start with simple breath practices. Advanced pranayama (kapalabhati, bhastrika) can cause blood pressure or anxiety issues — work with a teacher.
