Draconic Chart

The draconic chart is Dane Rudhyar's 'soul chart' (described pre-1936) — the North Node is taken as 0° Aries, and every other planetary position is recalculated relative to it. If your tropical chart tells you who you are in this life, the draconic chart tells you what your soul came here for. The difference between the two matters: the same planet may be in one sign tropically and another sign draconically. That shift maps the tension between the surface of personality and the depth of soul. Draconic is usually an advanced lens — for someone reading their first chart, tropical is enough.
