About this tool
A composite chart takes the mathematical midpoint of two natal charts and produces "the relationship's own chart." Synastry compares two charts side by side reading their aspects; a composite reads the relationship as a single entity — as if the moment of the relationship's birth were that midpoint.
The method was popularized by Robert Hand's 1975 Planets in Composite. The midpoint of every planet pair is taken (avg of Sun+Sun = Composite Sun, etc).
