12 Month Year Ahead
yearly plan · monthly theme · long-term
Layout structure
12 cards laid in a clock-face pattern. Each card represents a month in order (January-December or year starting from birthday). Sometimes a 13th card is drawn in the center as "year's overview." The relationship between months tells the full story.
When to use it
Ideal at New Year start, before birthday, before a major life transition. Takes 30 minutes. A reference spread to be revisited throughout the year; reading the relevant card at the start of each month opens the horizon.
Example reading
Question: "What does this year carry?" March (3): Ten of Wands (exhaustion). September (9): Knight of Cups (lover comes). December (12): The World (completion). Reading: spring is hard, autumn is romantic, the year ends with completion.
