How it works
Solar Arc is the variation of secondary progressions that says "advance all planets at the Sun's pace." All natal planets symbolically move forward at roughly 1° per year. If you're 30, shift all your natal planets forward by 30° — that's your Solar Arc chart. The advantage: speed is fixed and fast. Because all planets move at the same pace, the aspects Solar Arc Sun and Solar Arc Mars make to the natal chart cluster in time. This sharpens event timing. Preferred technique of Reinhold Ebertin's "Cosmobiology" school (1950s-today). The main timing tool of mature modern astrology.
When to use it
To clarify "when" an event will happen. As a major junction (around 50, 35) approaches, Solar Arc is a sharp trigger map. Practice: most consulted for the nearest 1-2 year window.
