What it is
Solar Return Synastry is the technique of reading a person's annual Solar Return (birthday) chart together with the partner's natal chart. Method: cast the person's yearly SR → see "this year's personal atmosphere" → add the partner's planets to the SR → answer "what's this year's relationship theme?" In a year when SR Venus is conjunct partner's Sun: love is intense. In a year when SR Saturn is conjunct partner's 7th-house cusp: a structure-building year (marriage, partnership). Modern astrology's annual relationship-forecast technique. Not in classical tradition but widespread from the 1970s onward.
How to read it
Cast your yearly SR chart (for your birthday), overlay the partner's planets. Where do they intersect? That's this year's relationship theme. 7th-house intersections = partnership-based year, 5th = creative-romantic, 8th = deepening.
