Mythology

One of the four royal stars — guardian of the North. Latin "little king". Babylonian "Sharru", Arabic "Qalb al-Asad" (Heart of the Lion). After ~1700 years in tropical Leo, Regulus crossed into 0° Virgo around 2012; this is a modern cusp.

Astrological reading

As a royal star, Regulus promises power and glory, but the promise has a clause: no revenge. The classical warning is "take revenge and lose everything you gained". A conjunct planet gains a brave, generous, regal quality — and the same risk of falling through pride. A heartbeat-warm point.
