Seven daughters of Atlas; pursued by Orion the hunter, Zeus set them in the sky as a cluster. Six are visible to the naked eye; the "lost sister" myth recurs across cultures. Subaru in Japanese, Suraya in Arabic, Süreyya in Turkish.

Astrological reading

The Pleiades carries themes of subtle sight, intuition, and inner-circle (especially feminine) bonding.
