Aldebaran

Mythology

Persian astronomy named it "Tashtêr" — guardian of the East, one of the four royal stars (with Antares, Regulus, Fomalhaut). Sits as the red-giant eye of the Bull constellation; ancient farmers used it to mark spring. Its Arabic name "ad-dabarān" means "the follower" — following the Pleiades.

Astrological reading

As a royal star, Aldebaran carries the promise of rising through an integrity test. Courage, true speech, leadership are core themes — but the gift is conditional: lose the moral thread and the star withdraws its gift.
