Mythology
Rohini is said to be the Moon's favorite among Daksha's 27 daughters — when the moon-god Chandra showered her with attention, the other 26 sisters grew jealous. The cart symbol carries harvest, yield, accumulated bounty. The royal star Aldebaran lies near this nakshatra.
