Mythology

Pushya is considered the most auspicious and protective of all 27 nakshatras — in Vedic tradition, "the star of stars." Its deity is Brihaspati: teacher of the gods, the Vedic counterpart of Jupiter. Symbol the cow's udder: ever-flowing nourishment that doesn't dry. Ruled by Saturn — lasting structure, patience, discipline.
