Krittika contains the Pleiades — Sapta Matrika, the seven mothers. In myth they collectively nursed Kartikeya (Skanda), the war god. Symbol the razor: the sharp flame that cuts and burns the unnecessary. Agni's fire isn't destructive but purifying — the burning of waste.
