Lot of Necessity

Meaning

The Lot of Necessity is connected to Anangke (the Greek goddess of necessity) — it shows themes the native "cannot escape, must do." Against Spirit's free direction, Necessity is the duty placed by the world. Ancient interpretation: "work, responsibility, the burden that must be carried." Modern reading: the area where, at some life-point, you realize "this is my responsibility" — no one else can. Whichever house it falls in, that theme cannot be abandoned no matter how difficult.
