Houses
Astrological Houses
12 houses — the building blocks of the birth chart. Each house represents a different area of life.
The 12 houses are the structural skeleton of a birth chart. If signs describe how something happens (the style), and planets describe what happens (the actor), houses describe where in life it happens — the 1st is identity and body, the 7th is partnership, the 10th is career, the 12th is the unconscious. Whatever planet sits in a house turns its energy on that domain of life.
This is the canonical 12-house map in the Western tropical / Placidus tradition. Each entry covers theme, body area, key questions, classical rulership, and how planetary visitors typically behave there. Without houses, an astrology reading is missing the stage; this is the stage map.
