Eris (dwarf planet 136199, discovered 2005) is named after the Greek goddess of strife. In the «Apple of Discord» myth, Eris was the only goddess not invited to a wedding; in retaliation she rolled a golden apple inscribed «to the fairest» into the hall, sparking the Trojan War. Astrologically: the unwelcome guest who reveals what was left out — exclusion, shadow feminine power, the strife that brings repressed truth to surface.
