Eris

Mythology

Eris was not invited to the wedding. The Olympian gods' wedding; she, the goddess of strife, was unwanted. In return she threw a golden apple inscribed "to the fairest" — Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite fought over it, the trail led to the Trojan War. The myth: the power of the uninvited; the crack opened by the excluded brings down a civilization.
