Grand Cross
Büyük Haç · Cosmic Cross
4 planets — 4 squares + 2 oppositions, same modality
Dynamics
A Grand Cross is four planets forming a cross, modern astrology's most difficult tension pattern. Four squares + two oppositions — in the same modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable Grand Cross). Not single-directional like a T-square; pressure on every side. The native lives life with the constant feeling "I'm being tested from every direction." In early years this is exhausting; in later years — if the person engages — extraordinary endurance and character develop. Classical tradition: "crushed or unkillable." When they win, a Grand Cross-holder; when they lose, a captive of a frozen pattern.
How to read it in a chart
Look at the modality: cardinal = constant initiating pressure, fixed = constant sustaining pressure, mutable = constant adapting pressure. The holder struggles until 35-40; afterward it rewards.
